Our fourth visit to this restaurant enabled us to have one of the best dining experiences ever. Excellent and personal welcome followed by a very professional waiter who was friendly and sensitive to our needs. No pressure; plenty of personal service at the right time and excellent friendly conversations at timely intervals. Delicious food and guess what-you could hear each other speak. Wonderful view; a great evening !
I’m giving this a five star review simply for the restaurant which is AMAZING in terms of food and service.
It was better than the top restaurants I’ve recently been to in Hobart. And the service staff were absolutely top of their game. What a beautiful surprise.
Down for the weekend, we explored some of Hobart’ known and lesser-known spots for lunch and dinner. Saturday night had us venture to Tasman where we were pleasantly surprised in the quality and uniqueness of the offering. Having enjoyed our entree of oysters and scallops which were both fresh and tasty, mains of salmon and Gnocchi were full of flavour and just beautiful. Josh the chef came out to greet guests asking about our meals which were a nice touch and helpful to decide our deserts which we battled to finish being cheese platter of local cheeses and a Taman signature dessert Rasberry Vanilla mousseline. Both again were a delight and highlighted the end of a memorable meal. Highly recommended for food and service.
We really appreciated the service while dining at the restaurant. The chef came and introduced himself to us and was able to explain some of the changes he was making to the menu. The food was of a high standard. We were very impressed with the deserts especially the mouselline.
Attended the Belgrave/Sullivan’s Cove Whisky Dinner.
It was fabulous and excellent value for money.
Five great whisky based drinks, including a cocktail first up (sidecar), followed by Sullivans Cove Double Cask and American Oak, then a peaty Belgrave and finally a Belgrave coffee liqueur. All were accompanied by fabulous, well presented and tasty dishes. My favourite was the pork belly. Will definitely need to book for the next one!
Ate here while staying at the hotel. Great service from knowledgeable staff who described the dishes, including the fish of the day. The choice was so good, we would have chosen almost anything from the menu! Food was well cooked and well presented, and in all it was a very nice experience!
We recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor and looked forward to our morning breakfast with a smile. Angela on the egg bar, Thomas our Barista and especially the energy and enthusiasm or Tarnia made our mornings. Great coffee, fresh produce and a stunning outlook over constitution dock.
